You can put sheets back on and sleep in the bed straight away.
The powder stays on the bed frame and slats long term. It’s applied lightly to joints, cracks, and along slats, not on sleeping surfaces.
Your sleeping mattress should be fully encased in a mattress cover, and no powder goes on the mattress itself.
If too much powder is used, it doesn’t work better. Heavy layers get brushed off and can create dust. A very light, barely visible coating is exactly what you want.
