DIY Instructions for Bed Frames with Slats
DIY Instructions for Bed Frame with Slats.
This is a very easy bed to treat. The first thing we need to do is protect the mattress with a mattress encasement, this will kill any bed bugs or eggs living on your mattress, as well as stop new bed bugs from living and breeding on your mattress.
This system will also kill all of the bed bugs in your home, it’s as easy as making the bed. Over the next few weeks, the bed bugs will come to the bed at night looking for a blood meal, where they will be killed by the Bed Bug Killer powder. This system kills without using poisons or toxins, it’s all completely natural control.
It’s an incredibly easy to understand treatment that just makes sense. We don’t turn your home upside down looking for bed bugs, we simply wait for them to come to us at night.
Place a Bed Bug Proof Mattress Cover over the mattress and zip it up and close the tab.
Now we need to kill all of the bed bugs and their eggs living on the bed frame instantly with steam, and long-term with our Bed Bug Killer powder.
Use the Bed Bug Steamer with the nozzle attachment and steam around the entire bed frame to kill any bed bugs and eggs instantly in cracks and crevices. Use the flat attachment to steam flat surfaces like bed slats. Make sure you remove the bed slats so that you can steam the top and bottom of the slats thoroughly.
Before replacing the slats use the Bed Bug Killer Duster to dust the bed frame (especially any cracks and crevices) and slats with the Bed Bug Killer powder. It’s important to make sure that every square inch of the slats are dusted with a fine layer of the powder, including underneath the slats.
This will ensure that no bed bugs will be able to hide in the bed frame or survive on the bed frame. Once this is done simply place the mattress back onto the bed.
Now we need to protect you from any bed bugs that are living in the room. This is easily done using our Bed Bugs Barriers. There are two types of barriers that can be used for this type of bed leg.
- Bed Bug Barrier Floor Barrier -These barriers have an inner diameter of 65mm so they will fit any round bed leg with a diameter of 65mm or smaller, if your bed legs are square or larger than 65mm then use our Bed Bug Barrier Tape
- Bed Bug Barrier Tape – This tape will fit any sized bed leg, place at the bottom of the bed legs, then dust the Bed Bug Killer around the bottom of the bed leg and floor where the leg sits.
This will create a barrier that will stop any bed bugs living in the room from accessing the bed and this will kill all the bed bugs in the room because when you’re sleeping at night the bed bugs will want to feed and you will activate their senses.
When they come to the bed they’ll be forced to walk across the powder to get to you to bite you and when they do that they will walk away without biting you and they will die. Make sure the bed bugs cannot access the bed via bedside tables or walls so make sure there is a space of at least 30 cm between your bed and everything else in the room.
You need to isolate the bed completely so that the only access point is the bed legs, because this is how we kill them in the room. You have finished the treatment, it’s really as easy as making the bed. You can now sleep safe knowing that you’re protected from bed bugs on the bed and in the room and within a few weeks or a month they’ll be completely eradicated no matter where they are. Under the carpet, in the ceiling, it doesn’t matter.
