Freaked out by the chatter on the internet, I contacted Bed Bug Barrier to ask for advice. Spoke to the lovely Tony who reassured me it was easy to get rid of them following his protocol. Which I did, to the T. It’s not the ‘easiest’ route, because it involves some effort steaming the beds and applying diatomaceous earth. But the easy route is chemical sprays, which I know from research don’t work. Bed bugs are getting resistant to it and it tends only to work when sprayed directly onto the bug, which of course is not possible. When you see reports online of bed bug returning again and again— it’s because they used professional companies to fumigate the house. Anyway, we are over a month since treating our beds and no bites, no signs of the bugs. Thanks Tony and team, you really make a huge difference to people’s lives.
